No no, I’m not dead. But my laptop is. Yes, my music-making emporium, faithfully serving me these last 6 years, has lost its will and capability to make music. Actually, its ability to make music has been diminished for quite a few months know, but mentally I just haven’t been willing to accept that.

I seem to have stumbled across a ridiculous set of 4-finger per string diminished identities whilst playing guitar at the park today. I’ve begun putting together enough tablature to make the lesson understandable, but it’s seeming a bit convoluted at the moment. That, and I’m off to watch a film with the lady.
Just be aware, if you liked 4-finger per string shapes and the diminished scale, I have a lesson for you.
I’ve begun overhauling the website, something which I’m sure you’re obviously very excited about.
Not only will the old articles be revised for clarity, and organized, but I’ll also be adding notation & videos for the references & examples.
I’ve now been writing music for 18 years.
On the advice of Mr. Gary Ewer, Senior Instructor of something music-related at Dalhousie University, I have decided to align myself with celebrities.
Starting…. eventually, I will be interviewing bands about their approach to the craft of songwriting. I’ll try to get a hold of some non-local bands too, either in town on tour, or using Skype or a question form.

Last night, I stopped by the ultra-hip used record store, which may or may not have been featured in Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, as it is located conveniently by my gym. While I had only gone in with the intent of picking up a NOW Magazine to act as reading material over my post-boxing nutritional replenishment (a HERO Soul Burger garnished with lettuce, red onion, tomato, and maple chipotle BBQ sauce), once again I found myself browsing.
